Hoods, blindfolds, gags

Hoods cover the head (some leave eyes or mouth free, others not) to anonymize or increase vulnerability. They can be lycra, leather, etc. Blindfolds obviously remove sight (heightening other senses and anticipation). Gags (ball gags, bit gags, etc.) fill the mouth to prevent speech and even alter sounds (the drool and muffled sounds can enhance a dom’s sense of power, and the sub’s sense of helplessness). Always be super careful: gags mean the sub can’t speak – establish nonverbal safe signals (like dropping an object or tapping). Use breathable gags (especially if nose might get congested from arousal). These items also provide sensory deprivation elements and quickly intensify a scene.
