Mid-scene check-in ritual
Create a habitual check-in that doesn’t break character. For instance, every time you pause to drink water or change position, you both exchange a quick kiss or whisper “You okay?” in a certain tone that fits the scene (like staying in a gentle role). Or use a coded phrase that means “all good?” such as “Color?” and they respond “Green” if everything’s great. Making it routine ensures communication without killing the mood.
